In this video, we share a sneak peek of what’s to come at SREI’s 9th annual Legacy Conference.
Hey everybody, Nikki Buckelew here at Seniors Real Estate Institute in Oklahoma City. I am excited because we are gearing up for our annual conference, the Legacy Conference, October 10th through the 12th, right here in Oklahoma City. And this year we already have more registrations for this conference than we’ve ever had before, and it absolutely blows me away at how excited everybody is to be involved.
So let me give you a quick overview of some of the things you can expect.
Number one, we have consumer panels again. We have at least two panels where we have people who have come in who have either downsized or who have been part of the education process that helps to educate our seniors about downsizing. And so they’re going to be sharing with us their experiences which is always fun. That happens on the first day. We have several breakout sessions, that are agent-led or agent-centered. So our CSHPs and other members will be sharing best practices about things like seminars, working with senior communities, move management, building teams, and marketing…all of the things.
We’re also going to have a couple of guest interviews. I’ll be interviewing Todd Emrick with Wheaton Moving. They are a national moving company specializing in senior moves and we’re interviewing them because a couple of things. We want to know more about how to help our clients move effectively and we also want to look at how do we interview resource team members?
For those of you who are new, this is really important. How do we interview resource team members to determine if we want to make referrals or not? We’ll show you how!
And then of course, we have Lee Smith with Fairway Independent Mortgage coming back again. I’ll be interviewing him about reverse mortgages and home equity conversion mortgages. Like with Todd, the goal is two-fold: Learn about them and demo how to evaluate whether their services are a fit for ours!
And then we have two really special things that I love. The evening bonus session, which I will not tell you what it is yet because you’ll learn when you get there, and then we have our recognition ceremony. Our recognition ceremony is where we celebrate the new CSHPs, the new certified senior downsizing coaches, and our legacy leader of the year. Those nominations are being announced right now. You might have even seen those in your email, and so make sure that, you take a look at those and vote for the legacy leader for this year.
That is only a small portion of what you can expect. We have masterminds and we have breakouts and we have networking lunches.
