What Makes Our Program the Best Real Estate Training for Serving Seniors?
Something came up during one of our training calls yesterday that really got my attention… again. And today, I humbly choose to share it with you here.
We consistently hear people say that Success in Seniors Real Estate is “the best real estate class” they’ve ever taken.
When I hear that, I usually just smile, thank them politely, and move on. Sometimes I’ll even joke and say, “You mean the best real estate class about working with seniors, right?”
But to my surprise, they often reply,
“No. The best real estate class I’ve ever taken. Period.”
Naturally, my brain goes into overdrive. Why would someone feel that way? What makes this class different than other senior real estate designations or training programs out there?
Because those comments often come up during class, I don’t want to derail the moment or the content to dig deeper, so I let it go. I tell myself, “I’ll rewatch the recording later,” but of course… I never do.
And honestly, it’s not that I think everyone feels that way. Surely there are some people who didn’t get much from our programs—or thought it was just OK. Then again, we do offer a money-back guarantee, and no one’s ever taken us up on it.
So today, I’m finally sitting down to answer the question we get asked often:
“What makes your course different from other senior real estate designations or training organizations?”
Here’s my best stab at it…
The Top 10 Reasons SREI Trainings and Coaching Are the BEST:
1. We hold nothing back.
If we know it, we share it. If we’ve done it, we explain it. If we have a tool, a strategy, or a resource that works, we give it to you. We don’t “dumb things down.” We believe in your capacity to master your craft—and our training is designed to help you rise up, not water it down.
2. We care about your short- and long-term success.
Whether you pay us or not, we’re here to add value. That’s why we offer monthly free webinars and post-course support—even for people who’ve never taken a single class with us.
3. We teach what we’ve lived.
Our trainers and coaches actively work—or have worked—in real estate and senior living. No fluff. No theory. No reverse mortgage reps or insurance agents teaching real estate. (Yeah, we’ve seen it too.) Just real-world knowledge from people who’ve been in the trenches.
4. It’s not just about money.
Sure, we’re a business—and real estate sales, coaching, and training pay our bills. But without purpose or meaning, it’s just a paycheck. We believe you can make a great living and a positive impact at the same time.
5. What you see is what you get.
We show up as our whole selves—failures and all. We’re not trying to be polished robots with perfect lives. Real people connect through real stories, and we’d rather be genuine than glossy.
6. Every class is current and evolving.
Our content is always under construction—not because we’re disorganized, but because we’re constantly learning and adjusting to reflect what’s happening in the market. (Yes, it drives Chris a little nuts.)
7. We stay in our lane.
We don’t pretend to be experts in everything. We’re really good at a few specific things—and we bring in others to help with the rest. Sometimes those experts are even our students and coaching clients!
8. It’s a mission, not just a method.
Our goal isn’t just to help agents close complex transactions. We’re here to help you transform lives. When real estate agents truly serve the senior market well, the ripple effect is powerful and far-reaching.
9. Our programs are brokerage-agnostic and fully scalable.
It doesn’t matter what brand is on your sign or how big your market is—our systems and teachings work across the board, for any agent, anywhere.
10. Passion fuels everything.
We love what we do, who we serve, and what we teach. And that passion is contagious. If we didn’t believe in this work with every fiber of our being, we simply wouldn’t do it.
Now, before you say (or whisper to a friend),
“Wow, that Nikki Buckelew is full of herself…”
…please know it took everything in me—and a direct assignment from my own coach—to write this.
With each point, I felt a little tug to justify it, tone it down, or go dig up a student quote to validate it. So if you relate to that inner tug, we could probably hang out. Not because you don’t know what makes you awesome—but because it makes you a little uncomfortable to say it out loud.
Here’s something to consider:
What if it’s not your lack of knowledge or effort that’s holding you back… but your humility?
That humility might be admirable—but could it also be the thing keeping you from the top?
