Overview
We’re replacing multiple scattered renewal dates with one clear annual deadline — giving every CSHP a consistent, predictable timeline for maintaining their certification.
All CSHP renewals are now due by September 30th each year. No more guessing your individual expiration date — everyone renews on the same cycle.
During the transition year, your fee is prorated based on your certification month. Going forward, the standard annual renewal is a flat $129.
Starting each July, you’ll receive reminders via email, eNews, and mail — so renewal never catches you off guard.
Continuing Education is handled through a dedicated form, linked automatically when you renew. A self-service membership portal is coming by end of 2026.
Action Required
Three straightforward steps to keep your CSHP certification current each year.
You’ll receive your invoice by email — prorated for the transition year, then a flat $129 annually. Click “View Invoice” to pay securely. Upon payment, you will receive a payment confirmation and a link to complete your CE form.
Fill out the Continuing Education renewal form and pledge. The link will be included in your renewal email. Contact our office with any questions about qualifying CE activities.
Once your invoice is paid and CE is documented, your certification is current for the full year. Watch for your next renewal reminder each July. By end of 2026, a self-service membership portal will make managing your account even easier.
Transition Year Only
If your current renewal date falls before September 30th, your one-time transition fee is prorated based on your certification month. You will receive a personalized invoice — no calculation is needed on your part.
| Certification Month | Amount Due (Transition Year) |
|---|---|
| January | $86.00 |
| February | $75.25 |
| March | $64.50 |
| April | $53.75 |
| May | $43.00 |
| June | $32.25 |
| July | $21.50 |
| August | $10.75 |
| September | $129.00 Full Rate |
| October | $118.25 |
| November | $107.50 |
| December | $96.75 |
After the transition year, all CSHP members pay the standard $129 annual renewal fee by September 30th. A personalized invoice will always be sent to you — there is no need to calculate your own amount.
Questions & Answers

Starting each July, you’ll receive multiple reminders via email, eNews, and physical mail as the September 30th deadline approaches. The process is designed so the deadline is never a surprise.
Your renewal email will include a link to the CE renewal and pledge form. Once submitted, it attaches to your account automatically. If you have questions about qualifying CE activities, please reply to your renewal email or contact our office directly.
Previous renewal automations and subscription products are being discontinued as members transition into the new system. Each member’s renewal date will be updated to September 30th as they renew.
A $20 late fee is applied on November 1st. If your certification remains unpaid through December 31st, it will lapse on January 1st. If the lapse extends beyond one full calendar year, you will be required to retake the full certification course to regain your CSHP status.
