Filling your knowledge gaps

Now that you have a sense of how much you know, it’s time to address the areas you feel weak.

The good news is that you are going to be learning while simultaneously growing your business!

While it may seem like a slow process at times, it’s important to remember that it is, in fact, a process!

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!
-Theodore Roosevelt

Here are just a few strategies for filling your knowledge gaps:
  • Internet and library research – Read, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts. Become a student.
  • Network within the aging services industry – rub elbows with a diverse group of pro’s.
  • Hold focus groups involving your target audiences – people love to share their stories.
  • Conduct casual interviews among family and friends – talk to people you know.
  • Create a council of advisors (a.k.a. advisory council) – gather smart people together to give you free advice.
